CropLife Philippines successfully conducted a webinar on "Practicing Safe and Responsible Use of Pesticide" on November 26, 2020, from 9:00 AM to 11:05 AM. The event was livestreamed on Facebook and included active participation from both Facebook and Zoom attendees. The technical support for the livestream was managed by the FPS Media PH team.
The webinar began with opening remarks from Veronica Tiburcio, President of CropLife Philippines. She emphasized the importance of educating stakeholders on the safe and responsible use of pesticides to ensure both environmental sustainability and public health.
The session featured a lineup of distinguished speakers from leading agricultural and chemical companies. Ms. Danah Jean Campano from BASF Philippines, Inc., Mr. Joel Rosario from Corteva Agriscience, Mr. Dave Cristobal from Bayer, and Ms. Cathy Sumagaysay from Syngenta shared their expertise and insights on various aspects of pesticide use.
The webinar was moderated by Jerwin Esarza, Chairman of the CropLife Stewardship Committee and Technical Coordinator at ALDIZ Inc. He facilitated the discussions and ensured that the session ran smoothly.
Following the presentations, a dynamic question and answer session was held, where participants from Zoom and the Facebook livestream had the opportunity to engage with the speakers, seeking clarifications and sharing their experiences.
Edilberto De Luna, Executive Director of CropLife Philippines, provided the closing remarks. He highlighted the ongoing commitment of CropLife Philippines to promoting safe and responsible pesticide use and thanked all participants and speakers for their valuable contributions to the webinar.
